SAND & STONE
My bestest friend sent me this. Something we should all live by.
Two friends were walking through the desert.
During some point of the journey, they had an argument; and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
"Today my best friend slapped me in the face."
They kept on walking, until t hey found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath.
The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
"Today my best friend saved my li fe ".
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "after I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"
The friend replied "when someone hurts us we should write it down in sand, where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone.
(Oh, and Dogga, the picture of the knickers is on its way!)

Nice little story that and very true. I think it would do us all good for the sands of time to blow over a few things now and again!
In fact, I reckon it's essential, as you could end up quite bitter.
Ooh, piccie on the way *jumps up and down clapping* :0)
That's very good. I'll remember it!
Thanks for sharing those wise words :)
Certainly something to live by!

How come Dogga gets a piccie but the rest of us aren't allowed to see?
Tchoh! What I meant was the picture will be up here on the Blog..soon! But they're in the wash at the moment and it's bad enough that you lot (plus some other friends I might add) want a picture of my knickers, but you're not having a picture of them dirty!
... still waiting ... :]
